Carrie Underwood’s the first country performer announced for this year's American Music Awards. Tomorrow Carrie performs ‘Smoke Break’ on NBC's Today Show.

At next month’s CMA Awards, we already know the show will open with Eric Church & Hank Williams, Jr performing then I hear the spotlight will shift to Keith Urban and John Mellencamp singing, ‘John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16.’

Jake Owen’s daughter Pearl is almost 3 and he says she’s made him more patient and appreciative of life. Jake says they like to build forts together and people watch at the park.

Brett Eldredge says the goal for his shows is to be like a conversation in his living room and also an escape from the outside world. Brett’s musical inspirations include Brooks & Dunn, Sinatra, Ray Charles and The Eagles.

Finally - opening for Kenny Chesney this year, Chase Rice learned a lot watching Kenny and says, "I didn't expect to become as good of friends as we did. He's such a great guy."
