Recipe of the Week...
Kat’s Tapenade
32 oz green olives
13 oz Kalamata olives
7 oz capers
8.5 oz sun dried tomato
6 oz maple syrup & as much olive oil as you want
Mr. Bean...
If you have never rented either of the Mr. Bean movies, you are missing
out! They are for all ages and the faces Bean can make are amazing.
He almost seems to have a rubber face! It says a lot of you can make
someone laugh and use hardly any words. We first rented them but had
to buy them because they are the kind of movies you can see often and
not get tired of.
Did you make any New Years resolutions...
My husband and I wrote out our goals for 09 in a bunch of areas (I
encourage you to do that with your spouse too!) Mine included read the
bible or some kind of Christian book 30-60 minutes a day, find
somewhere to volunteer and stop eating chocolate!
I saw a bobcat yesterday...
I was out walking my dogs in the woods yesterday and I saw a young
bobcat. They are so beautiful! It was about the size of a thin Australian
Shepard. I wish they were not so scared of dogs and humans because I
would have loved a closer look. They tried to chase it but they couldn't
even get close.
We are getting a buffalo...
Not as a pet but as food for my meat eating hubby. Their meat is not
gamey, a bit sweeter than beef and almost no fat. They are also always
raised using no hormones or antibiotics as they are one of 2 animals on
the planet that do not get cancer or disease for that matter. The other
are sharks. The correct name for the buffalo is the bison, so you will hear
it's meat referred to either way.
