Carrie Underwood's making us wait & Maren Morris comes back to her Texas roots

A few days ago Carrie Underwood said something exciting was coming yesterday. When nothing happened Carrie posted we’d have to wait “a little longer.”

Before last weekend ACMs, Blake Shelton popped in to his Nashville and Orlando Ole Red bars for a surprise performance. Blake also said he’d continue paying his employees as he’s done the entire pandemic. Back in 2017, he was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive and Blake says he keeps that issue in the bathroom and looks at it often.

Maren Morris says her next record’s halfway done. She calls it an uplifting record that’s come back to the Texas rootsy style she grew up in. Maren also says it has Americana elements and is fun and energetic.

Finally - Eric Church and his wife were watching Elton John’s biopic, ‘Rocketman’ when a scene gave him the idea for his song ‘Rock & Roll Found Me.’ It’s on the third of his album trio, ‘Soul.’ Elton was dressed in a costume at a meeting and talked about how rock and roll found him. Eric immediately went to the kitchen and wrote the song.

Keith Urban has a new tattoo & Tim McGraw loves hog fish

Last weekend Tim McGraw got some hog fish while diving. They’re hard to catch as they live in deep water so Tim normally spears them free diving at 44 feet. Most every fish photo he posts is a hog fish and now I know why. It’s is as rich as scallops and it just melts in your mouth.

At Sunday’s ACMs, Keith Urban showed off a new tattoo on his right hand. The same hand he has a bracelet tattoo with the initials 'NMK' for Nicole Mary Kidman. I also hear Keith just got a boating license. He had one 10 years ago but let it lapse and said Covid gave him idle time to get a new one. A few years ago, Keith and the family were in Australia on a huge yacht they rented for $3,500 an hour. But there was a 4-hour minimum so it cost them $14,000 for the afternoon.

Finally - Eric Church, Brad Paisley, Travis Tritt and more will perform at ‘A Tribute To ZZ Top’s Billy Gibbons.’ It’ll be live at the Opry May 16 and all proceeds go to charity. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Luke Bryan’s back on Idol after recovering from COVID. He said he had a rough go of it for a while tho. The same time Luke wasn’t on, contestant Wyatt Pike suddenly left. The rumor started that Wyatt punched Luke during an argument, giving him a black eye so that’s why Luke hasn’t been on the show. His wife Caroline confirms his reason for being off the show was Covid.

Lauren Aliana’s the lead actress in an upcoming movie. Filming is set to begin in Canada very soon and the rumor is it’s for the Hallmark Channel.

On the ACM Awards last night...& Keith Urban’s wife scores a big role

On the ACM Awards last night Entertainer of the Year was Luke Bryan. 

Female artist Maren Morris also won Song of the Year for ‘The Bones.’ 

The Male artist was Thomas Rhett. Thomas Rhett confessed Dierks Bentley was cracking him up as he took the stage to accept his Male Artist trophy, though he declined to say exactly what Dierks had said. 

Duo was Dan + Shay and when they performed there was an audio/video sync issue. 

Group winner went to Old Dominion. 

Album of the Year was Chris Stapleton’s ‘Starting Over.’ Miranda Lambert had to fill in at the last minute for Chris’s wife who was supposed to sing with him but had a prior doula commitment. 

Single went to the very surprised Carly Pearce & Lee Brice for ‘I Hope You're Happy Now.’

Blake Shelton said he’d lose weight for his wedding and last night I could tell he really has. I also hear due to how much trouble Blake’s gotten in with his tweets, his team now handles most of his Twitter activity. Blake says Reba's even been hard on him about it.

Finally - Keith Urban’s wife Nicole Kidman will star as Lucille Ball in the biopic, ‘Being The Ricardo’s.’ It follows Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz during production on their 50s TV show, I Love Lucy.

The first of Eric Church’s three-part, ‘Heart & Soul, ‘Heart’ is out today. It’s been 20 years since Blake Shelton released ‘Austin’ and today it’s out on vinyl. Tim McGraw’s ‘Here On Earth’ Ultimate Edition is also out with a few new songs and there’s also two versions of ‘Here on Earth.’

The ACM Awards are Sunday on CBS. Keith Urban & Mickey Guyton will host from the Opry, Ryman and Bluebird Cafe. Jon Pardi was married almost five months ago and says they’re still adjusting. Jon says the hardest thing they're struggling with is laundry. Because he’s not on the road, he has so much more clothes all over the place. He says Summer happily does laundry just not his socks. She makes Jon pair them together.

Morgan Wallen has broken his silence with a handwritten note to his fans. He’s cancelled all upcoming tour dates and that includes opening for Luke Bryan. Morgan talked about his mistakes writing, “I’ve been making amends and feel like I've really worked on myself. I've needed this time off and I am proud of the man I am becoming. Just know you'll be seeing me sooner than later."

Blake Shelton walked to his patio late last night to get the meat he’d smoked for 24 hours but saw a possum eating it. He got close enough to pet the wild possum.

This weekend Luke Combs went hunting for morel mushrooms and did not do very well; just 10 smaller ones. Blake Shelton caught a huge paddlefish in Oklahoma Saturday. He also bought a new Kubota tractor. It has a covered cab with a seat for Gwen and they run around $194,000.

Jeni's Splendid Ice Cream only made 10,000 pints of Dolly Parton’s Strawberry Pretzel Pie ice cream. They’re now going for upwards of $1,000 on eBay. That seller claimed 80% of the proceeds would go to Dolly’s Imagination Library.

Looking back on his career, Blake Shelton said he would have told his younger self two things; get more rest and the “mullet's not as cool as you think it is.” These days Blake calls himself a “slow slug," who’s lucky to have a job where he gets to sit in a red chair for a living.

When Brad Paisley noticed his son Jasper's pufferfish struggling, he had to help. A puffer’s beak can grow so long they can't eat, so Brad watched YouTube videos to find out how to fix that. He put clove oil in the tank to make the fish go to sleep, then Brad trimmed its beak with fingernail clippers and the fish survived. Brad and his wife are in People magazine out today.

Eric Church’s tour kicks off September 17 and ends in 2022. 55 cities and tickets for the U.S. shows are on sale May 7 but fan club members can buy them May 4. Sale dates for the three Canadian cities will be soon. The shows are in-the-round with the stage in the center so as many fans as possible can be there.

Jon Pardi and Lauren Alaina have been friends for years now. One time she introduced him to a guy she was dating and right in front of the guy, Jon said, ’I don’t like him, he’s not good enough for you.” It didn’t work out for them and now Lauren has Jon vet all her potential boyfriends.

Luke Bryan’s on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. Yesterday his wife bought kombucha at the store. It’s a fermented tea. When she got to the car, she opened it and it exploded all over her face. It went up her nose and got on her shorts. Caroline said a cop saw the whole thing and was cracking up.

Jon Pardi’s wife had to have cows, so he got her some for Christmas. Yesterday she had to have goats so he went and got two. He posted a video wrangling them as they’d already escaped.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were spotted at Market Hill and the Marburger Farm Antique Show in Round Top Texas this week. They also had dinner at Lulu’s. They serve Italian food and I’ve heard it’s known for being quite a romantic place.

Michael Ray says his favorite kitchen appliance is the Instant Pot his bus driver gave him. He calls it the new Crock Pot after it went away for a while and did some work on itself.

Carrie Underwood says when she doesn’t work out, her attitude is noticeable to her husband who will tell her to go take a run. If she could dump one thing from her routine, it’s burpees. That’s a jump, squat, plank and pushup all done at the same time and Carrie hates them!

Jon Pardi broke ground Sunday on a massive new pond. It looks so big, I thought he was working on a garden. This will be his 2nd pond.

Keith Urban will be on Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, ‘Fearless.’ He’ll duet on one song and sing harmonies on another. They’ve been friends since 2009 when Taylor was Keith’s opening act. Maren Morris will also do background vocals on a tune.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani both think they’ve gone as far as they can career wise with touring and TV. Blake says, “hopefully at some point we get a chance to live life and we’re both ready for that. The older I get, the more I’m turning into a hermit and passing on several things.”

Finally - Dustin Lynch says despite cancellations due to Covid, he's still headlining in Las Vegas this summer. The Dustin Lynch Pool Situation is June 3-6 at the Imperial Palace. Dustin says he may even be able to sneak in some more tickets soon even tho it’s sold out. The event will also feature Jordan Davis and HARDY.

Eric Church wants to have a fall arena tour so he just got the Covid vaccine and wants fans to do the same. Eric promises if new protocols make for an extra expense in some cities, he’ll try as much as possible to absorb that cost.

Carrie Underwood has a live concert Sunday morning at 11 CT from the Ryman. She’ll be singing songs from her new album, ‘My Savior’ and the show’s free on her Facebook page.

Miranda Lambert and her husband like to take their Airstream on mini vacations. She calls it the “Freedom Wagon” cause it gets her out and gives her the travel fix she’s been missing since she can’t be on the road right now.

He also has a new line of hard seltzer out soon. Blake says they taste like liquid sunshine and come in lemonade, lime, strawberry and peach.

Brian Kelley from Florida Georgia Line will release solo music this spring with an album later this year. He calls the music ‘Beach Cowboy,’ but this doesn’t mean he’s stepping away from band mate Tyler Hubbard.

Luke Bryan hooked his thumb fishing & Chris Janson has a free concert tonight

Luke Bryan hooked his thumb fishing yesterday and showed a video of it. Instagram felt it was so gruesome they added the disclaimer, ‘this video may contain graphic or violent content.’ Later Luke gave an update on the drive to get medical help. As a nurse remove the hook, Luke mostly laughed then went right back to fishing. This time he hooked himself but he’s hooked others dozens of times.

When he can’t sleep, Brett Young goes down his list of remedies. If watching TV doesn’t work, he’ll listen to vintage music. If that fails Brett has a late-night snack and his last resort is a shot of Jack Daniel’s. He says that almost always works.

Dolly Parton’s the focus of a new Female Force TidalWave Comic book today. It honors strong, independent women. A few years ago they profiled Dolly’s friend Cher and the other day I noticed Blake Shelton follows Cher on Instagram.

Blake Shelton goes crab fishing & Kelsea Ballerini’s been on a tropical vacation

Blake Shelton will release his first full-length album, ‘Body Language,’ May 21. It has 12 tunes and Blake says it’ll include some classic country as well. Fans can pre-order it April 23.

Speaking of Blake, he and Gwen visited California’s Central Coast last weekend to do some crab fishing. They rented a whale watching boat and in just one day ended up catching 17 crabs and 50 Sand Dabs. They’re a small type of flounder.

Kelsea Ballerini’s been on a tropical vacation with her husband Morgan Evans. Besides a little boat side grilling, they’ve also been indulging in fresh-squeezed orange juice.

Carrie Underwood says her playlist might surprise us because it includes grunge. She grew up in the 90s and her favorites are Nirvana and Soundgarden.

I just found out Blake Shelton quietly sold his Tishomingo, Oklahoma ranch in 2018. That means he and Gwen were quarantining at the house he built for her on Lake Texoma. The rumor’s always been they’d be married at his ranch but unless he kicks the current owner out for the weekend, that’s not gonna happen.

Eric Church’s first job after moving to Nashville was the Home Shopping channel. He got fired after talking customers out of making what Eric said were silly late-night purchases.

Finally - Kenny Chesney and Matthew McConaughey met years ago at a Saints game. Matthew and Drew Breeze used to have a yearly charity show at the House of Blues in New Orleans and Kenny was always part of it. He and Matthew’s friendship grew through text messages.

Eric Church spends as much time as possible at his cabin. It’s 20 minutes from Nashville and has two lakes he built himself. They’re stocked with largemouth bass and Eric’s hoping one day to get the state record, which is a fifteen pounder.

Trisha Yearwood has a new pet line coming out. Years ago I talked to her soon after she married Garth. His biggest adjustment was her indoor dogs, he’d only ever had outdoor ones. She said that was the hardest thing for Garth to get used to once they were married.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s combined net worth is around $165 million. Their assets include property and royalties. Last year Tim made $18 million and even tho Faith hasn’t had a hit for years, she made $15 million of her own.

Lady A has a free show tonight & Tyler from FGL is moving to L.a.

Tyler from Florida Georgia Line and his wife just paid $3.9 million for a mansion in LA. The nearly 4,700-square-foot home includes disappearing walls of glass, an entire wall for bottles of wine, and a master bedroom that has a fridge. The family will live there part-time but Nashville’s still home.

Since divorcing Michael Ray last September, Carly Pearce has been on a few dates but this time around says she won’t be as public with her relationships.

Sources say Keith was “absolutely furious” and asked producers to find a new jacket for Guy, but he refused to change. In the past, Guy’s also been called out on Instagram for stealing fashion ideas from Keith.

Blake Shelton spent last Saturday studying black bears in eastern Oklahoma with researchers. They collected a bear cub’s weight and distinguishing marks as Blake held it. They also inserted a tracking microchip then the cub was returned to its mother in her den. This year's CMA Fest in Nashville has been canceled for the second year in a row due to Covid. They’ve already started planning for next summer and the new CMA dates are June 9-12.

Niko Moon’s ‘Good Time’ is very close to being a #1 hit. He taught himself how to play guitar in high school by watching You Tube videos. Niko’s at-home studio is the laundry room which he converted into a vocal booth.

Since the pandemic started, Brian from Florida Georgia Line’s been throwing a baseball, getting his arm back in shape. Brian played in college and was on his way to the pros before he decided to go to Belmont and pursue music.

Keith Urban's kids make a rare public appearance & The Voice premieres tonight

On last night’s Golden Globes, Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and their daughters Sunday and Faith appeared virtually. It’s the first time we’ve had a clear look at the girl’s faces. I also found out more about their time at the Sydney opera a few weeks ago. They broke protocol to stand at the end of the performance because they thought it was so great. That’s when the guy behind Nicole swatted her with his program. Keith said he wanted to whack the guy but instead showed great restraint.

The ACM nominees have Maren Morris and Chris Stapleton each getting six nods. Miranda Lambert has five and Ashley McBryde and Thomas Rhett have four. ACM snubs include Carrie Underwood, no Luke Combs in Single, Song or Album of the Year and Keith Urban was not in either Entertainer or Male Artist of the Year.

Finally – The Voice premieres tonight on NBC and Blake Shelton’s back as a judge. He only got the job years ago because Reba turned it down. She said no because she didn’t think she’d be able to tell somebody they’re terrible. In a few weeks Dan + Shay will be on as Blake’s Battle Advisors.

Tenille Townes performs tonight & George Strait just listed his mansion

Dan from Dan and Shay has four rescue dogs and just added a 16-year-old emaciated and toothless Chihuahua. She was terrified at the shelter and Dan couldn’t let this tiny dog live out the rest of her life there.

George Strait just listed his San Antonio mansion for $7.5 million. It’s almost 8,000 sq ft, has a walk-in safe and comes with a golf course membership. Before you get to his home, there are three gates (and one has a guard). George is selling because he and his wife want more privacy.

Tim McGraw has one thing he won’t do any more; rides. When he and Faith were in Paris, Tim said he froze with fear on the Ferris wheel and couldn’t move.

Garth and Trisha have been quarantining at home for 2-weeks since someone on their team got Covid. Now Trisha has it but Garth’s negative. He says Trisha’s ‘on her way out of the tunnel’ now and is under the greatest care with doctors who know how to treat and heal singers. Garth says, “we’ll walk out the other side of this thing together.”

Brett Eldredge struggles with anxiety and depression and said it took him a long time to understand it wasn’t shameful to go to therapy and get help. Brett says, “I’m glad for the brutal times I’ve gone through. It’s taught me resilience and to be a better creator, friend and person.”

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman's Australian home is their sanctuary. It’s in New South Wales on 111 acres with cows and alpacas. They both love the simplicity and peace their property brings.

Luke Combs met his wife Nicole at a songwriter festival in Florida. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill have just listed their 20-acre private island in the Bahamas for $35 million. They bought it in 2003, but didn’t move in till 2012. The property’s a collection of eight pavilions including two yurts and a 6,500 sq ft mansion, all connected by covered verandas and passageways. As for the secret to their happy marriage Faith says it’s little things like breakfast together or a cup of coffee without being interrupted.

We’re hearing Blake Shelton had to make a drastic change to his Oklahoma ranch for Gwen Stefani’s hair. He only had well water so she had Blake add soft water into the system to keep her hair from breaking off.

Brett Eldredge says one of the silliest things he’s ever done was a few years ago at Walmart. It was 1 AM and he was playing musical chairs with a child’s pink Barbie couch. Brett says, “you're never too old to get weird at Walmart.’

Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman we're at the Sydney Opera house last week. When it was almost over, everyone stood and clapped. A guy sitting behind Keith and Nick got annoyed and told them to sit down. They refused, so he swatted the Nicole with his program. Security was called so we're police but no further action was taken.

Chris Young was on tour with Cassadee Pope when they found themselves in the middle of a winter storm in Pennsylvania. The interstate was shut down due to snow so they got stuck at a truck stop. Chris said the restaurant started running out of food so the menu only had a few things. On day 3 all they had left was toast and eggs.

Finally - Blake Shelton hasn't even started losing weight for his wedding because they haven't set a date yet. He says, "l'm not going to lose weight for no good reason."

Someone on Garth and Trisha’s team has Covid so they’re canceling everything and quarantining for two weeks. I’m guessing they’re both still hosting the Ellen Show today as that’s taped at least a day ahead, but I’m not sure.

Keith Urban’s never been a good sleeper so he just wrote a song designed to make us fall asleep. It’s an hour long called, “I Am Home’ and it’s only on the relaxation app Calm.

Kenny Chesney says a couple years ago he was playing a festival when Kevin Costner just walked on his bus and said hi. Kenny was starstruck and said they ended up talking for a long time. I also hear Kenny planted a garden last summer and called it the ‘Green Monster’ after left field at Fenway Park.

I can’t believe Tim McGraw and Faith Hill’s place in Leiper’s Fork, TN has been for sale since 2013. It includes a 22,000 sq ft mansion with ten bathrooms, a log home built in the 1800s, two guest houses, a 12 stall horse stable and a caretaker residence. One home used to be owned by Hank Williams. Tim and Faith have since moved into a 6,000 sq-ft house and they got one more bathroom in the move; they now have 11.

As for his new wife, newlywed Jon Pardi says, “I just want to make her happy but I still do dumb things cause I’m a guy.”

I was watching Trisha Yearwood’s video for ‘Walkaway Joe,’ the other day. It’s from 1992 and starred a then unknown Matthew McConaughey. He plays the teen love interest and I hear it was Matthew’s first ever acting gig. It’s really hard to tell it’s even him.

Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan did an amazing job on the National Anthem at the Superbowl yesterday. He played guitar and wore sunglasses and a purple jacket. It’s been a long time since Eric has sang it because he thinks it’s incredibly hard to sing. Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and Adam Levine stared in an ad for T-Mobil. Because of a spotty cell connection, when Gwen meets her blind date Blake, he’s the complete opposite of what she thought he was. Not sure how but Chris Young had great seats at the game yesterday. He was in the end zone with several Chief’s fans.

Eric Church is working on a North American tour and is waiting for the right time to announce details. The tour will also include new music. Eric says he’ll go to many cities he’s been to in the past and a few new ones. His fan club members will be able to buy them first.

Miranda said it’ll be repaired and they’ll soon be back to their vagabond ways.

Morgan Wallen’s label, Big Loud Records has suspended his recording contract indefinitely. His songs were pulled from CMT and hundreds of radio stations. The Academy of Country Music also removed Morgan’s eligibility to win any awards this year and halted his potential involvement on the show too.

When Miranda Lambert and her husband were in Charleston, SC last weekend, they had a fancy Sunday brunch at Halls Chophouse. Another day they were seen eating avocado toast and spiced vanilla oat milk lattes at the Harken Café. One of Miranda’s favorite parts of their trip was a sign at their KOA campground that warned alligators might live here.

Miranda Lambert was at the KOA campground this weekend & Carrie Underwood hurts her neck

Miranda Lambert and her husband took their Airstream to Asheville NC this weekend. They slept under the Wolf moon at the KOA campground. They also had warm biscuits as big as your face with homemade apple butter at The Moose Café. They visited The Biltmore Estate as well. It’s a 250-room French Renaissance mansion with over four acres of floor space. It has 35 bedrooms, 43 bathrooms and 65 fireplaces.

Carrie Underwood had to take some time away from the gym after getting a neck injury. She didn’t say what happened but Friday she was able to start back to her daily routine.

Jason Aldean’s new Nashville home‘s at least 20,000 square feet and has both a man cave and a complete spa for the girls. I also found out their 12 life-sized palm trees in the backyard aren’t real. His wife Brittany says Jason worked hard for all of it.

Finally - Jon Pardi’s single, ‘Tequila Little Time’ was co-written with Thomas Rhett’s dad, Rhett Akins. Jon says because of the mariachi horns on it, he thinks listening to it should be done on a boat at the lake.

Keith Urban gave Eric Church a 1933 Martin guitar last Christmas. Eric found it under his tree along with a letter from Keith and said he was totally floored.

As for the three albums Eric has out in April, when asked if he’d do it again, he said, “probably not from a mental health standpoint. I was writing all day, not sleeping at night.” Eric said it was like a creative boot camp for him.

Luke Combs has one rule onstage; he’ll never drink something during a show that has ice. He learned long ago that ice cools the vocal cords down and that makes for a higher chance of damaging your vocal cords.

Blake Shelton has a new album is on the way & Luke Combs on 'Elvising'

Growing up in Sneedville, TN, Morgan Wallen wanted to be a pro baseball player and was well on his way when an elbow injury ended that. He was supposed to play in college but that injury changed his direction to music and he started playing guitar and writing songs. A few years later got a record deal.

Luke Combs tour bus was built with a white interior because he’s often parked under a dark arena and that started affecting his mood. While on tour, Luke’s Saturday night tradition is “Elvising,” where after the show, he and his wife get to his already running bus and pull out before fans even get to the parking lot.

FGL will also debut two original songs in the musical feature. 

Kane Brown is working on a new album that’ll include 12 new tunes and one he’s already released, ‘Worship You.’ Kane has not told us when that record will be out tho.

Now we hear he had several Covid tests before he went and was always negative. There’s still talk that Garth had hair plugs inauguration day but he’s never said a word.

When Michael Ray played in Haines City, Florida years ago, the city was set to break the Guinness record for the most sparklers lit at one time. Michael joined in and now has a Guinness Book of World Records plaque.

The best career advice Miranda Lambert ever got was from Kelly Clarkson. She won’t do red carpets anymore & told Miranda, “I don’t want them judging my life’s work on a dress.”

Jason Aldean’ spent 5 hours at the ER & Eric Church will have three albums out

Jason Aldean’s wife Brittany had terrible chest pains yesterday and thought it was a heart attack so Jason took her to the ER. After five hours she was diagnosed with pleurisy, where the lining of the lungs is inflamed. What fixed it was a couple of Advil.

Eric Church will have three albums with 24 songs out called, ‘Heart & Soul.’ The release dates are April 16, 20 and the 23. The April 20 album will be vinyl and it’s only for Eric’s fan club members. They can pre-order January 28 and the general public can pre-order on the 29th.

Jake Owen makes his acting debut today in ‘Our Friend’ based on the true story of a journalist and his wife who find out she has terminal cancer. Jake plays one of their college friends. It stars Dakota Johnson and Casey Affleck.

Blake Shelton‘s ‘Minimum Wage,’ is quickly climbing the charts. Years ago he roofed houses, making less than minimum wage. Blake only needed money to pay rent, so he could play guitar all weekend. As for those who criticized the tune, Blake said it was just four or five people that hadn’t heard it yet.

Morgan Wallen’s been learning what it means to be a celebrity and says what happened with Saturday Night Live was the wake-up call he desperately needed. He said, “I get that I offended some people, but I’m not a malicious person. I’m just a little bit rowdy and a little bit wild. It’s just how I am.”

Toby Keith, Cole Swindell, Lee Brice and Larry the Cable Guy will perform during the LPGA’s Tournament of Champions today thru the 24th in Orlando. Toby performs Sunday. The shows are outdoors with fans socially distanced. It’s on the Golf Channel and also NBC the 23rd and 24th.

Eric Church will join R & B singer Jazmine Sullivan to sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl February 7. It’ll be on the CBS Kick-Off Show.

Luke Combs will sing at the pre-race show of the Daytona 500 February 14 on FOX. Luke grew up watching NASCAR every Sunday with his granddad so this is quite an honor for him. Fans will be there but limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Several country stars are part of a charity auction to raise money for things like schools in Tennessee. Auction items include concert tickets to a future Luke Combs show plus an autographed guitar. Keith Urban also donated a signed guitar and Jon Pardi autographed a poster and a CD.

Garth will perform at Joe Biden's inauguration tomorrow. He says it’s not a political statement but one of unity. Garth has played for every president since Carter, with the exception of Reagan and says no matter who the president-elect is, it's an honor to be asked. 

Keith Urban says his last meal would include a great steak and listening to the Beach Boys, ‘God Only Knows.’ Keith thinks it’s so well written and calls it one of the greatest love songs ever.

When Blake Shelton first got to Nashville he played at Jack’s Guitar Bar. Blake said, “back then it wasn’t like it is now and you did not want to be downtown after dark in the 90s.”

Carrie Underwood will perform at gospel singer CeCe Winans concert February 21 on Compassion Live. Carrie’s first gospel album ‘My Savior’ will be out at Easter.

Luke Bryan's duck hunting date & Eric Church says he’ll be back on the road this year

Luke Bryan and his wife went on a duck hunting date this weekend. I don’t know how but Luke got their Polaris stuck in brown water that filled the cabin up to the vehicle’s seat. His wife sarcastically said, “this date’s going great.”

Blake Shelton joked about gaining 117 pounds during quarantine. He says he wants to lose 20 before he marries Gwen. So he doesn’t let people down, Blake’s now changed his goal to losing 10 pounds. As for his quarantine mullet Blake cut it off saying, “you can't be fat and have a mullet.”

I have two of the crazy on-line rumors about Kenny Chesney. His staffers must say “the pearl is in the river” to get into his dressing room. It’s a line from the Chevy Chase film, ‘Under the Rainbow.’ The rumor that’s been around forever tho is Kenny was born with a tail but it was removed at birth. Supposedly these tails run in Kenny's family.

Carrie Underwood has secret talent & Morgan Wallen’s planning on a break

Carrie Underwood’s secret talent is organizing things. She’ll work on one space, one drawer, or an area at a time. Carrie sometimes takes everything out of her pantry and puts it back in the way it should go. She says “if you’re not going to eat it, If you haven’t worn it in a year, let it go and you feel so much lighter afterwards.” 

Morgan Wallen’s planning on a break after a busy season of putting together his recent album. He’ll be using the hiatus to focus on raising his six-month-old son, Indigo Wilder but Morgan calls him Indie. His mom says he’s just like Morgan in how he looks and how he acts. 

Miranda Lambert says her Nashville farm and animals help her unwind. She also wears no makeup and is in the same clothes for three days.

Finally - while studying in California at Butte Junior College, Jon Pardi entered a contest to write a song about not driving and driving. He won and his prize was $300. He used all of it to money to buy a P.A. system for his college band.

Lindsay Ell just adopted a puppy & Garth will receive a Kennedy Center Honor

A Tennessee State Representative has introduced a bill that would bring a Dolly Parton statue to the capitol. If passed, the statue would be on the capitol grounds facing the direction of the Ryman.

Lindsay Ell just adopted a puppy. She’s wanted a dog for years but didn’t feel like she could because of touring. She named her female pup Hendrix and I hear friends of hers from Nashville drove to New Orleans to pick Hendrix up.

Growing up Carrie Underwood’s job on the farm was when a fence got trampled by a cow or the wind blew it down if dad was out of town, Carrie had to help rig the fence up till he got home. At her property outside Nashville, Carrie’s sons help feed their horses and chickens and they even collect eggs.

Finally - Garth is among the artists who will receive 2021 Kennedy Center Honors. It’ll air June 6. The ceremony will be held during multiple events so they can physically distance audiences.

In just a few days, Morgan Wallen’s double album, ‘Dangerous’ has over 100 million audio streams, the most single-week streams for a country album in history. It broke the record for Apple Music’s biggest single week for a country album and it broke Spotify’s all-time first-day stream record. At Amazon Music, the album broke their global first day streaming record for a country debut.

Jason Aldean’s wife Brittany says the pandemic’s silver lining is she likes having him home more and she especially likes Jason’s early morning help with the kids.

Luke Combs is opening up about his obsessive compulsive disorder where he can’t stop thinking about various issues. It’s called ‘Purely Obsessional OCD’ and one way it gets him is Luke constantly worries that he’ll have a stroke or heart attack. He says the anxiety comes in waves but is mostly under control now.

Speaking of Luke, he just gifted Dierks Bentley with a pair of his special edition Crocs. They’re now Dierks go-to shoes and he says he may never take them off.

Luke Combs’ wife has spent the last two weeks battling COVID. Nicole said it’s been brutal and she had all the symptoms, except a fever. She just started feeling better and hopefully will test negative soon. We’re still not sure if Luke got it or not. Tonight Luke’s on Straight Up with Steve Austin on the USA Network.

Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman and their daughters were at a live music event in Sydney, Australia this weekend. They wore sunglasses, hats and masks so no one but paparazzi noticed them. Keith wore a tight black T-shirt that revealed his tattooed biceps.

Runaway June's Jennifer Wayne married musician Austin Moody on Santa Rosa Beach in Florida Saturday. They were engaged less than two weeks ago. The ceremony had a cowboy theme in honor of her grandfather, actor John Wayne. She also wore the engagement ring her grandmother got from John. Runaway June opens for Luke Bryan this year.

Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Dolly and more are on Bee Gees Barry Gibb’s album, ‘Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers Songbook, Vol. 1. The artist’s got to pick what Bee Gee’s tune they sang and it was recorded in Nashville where Elvis did a lot of his stuff.

Morgan Wallen’s double album, ‘Dangerous’ is out today with 30 songs and a duet with Chris Stapleton. Eric Church wrote a tune and Morgan co-wrote the title track with Thomas Rhett on Zoom. If you get the record at Target it has two bonus tracks.

Here’s an idea; Jason Aldean has a regular event at his house he calls, "no pants bowling parties.” They’re on hold for now because Jason and his wife are working on getting rid of their Covid weight.

Tenille Townes spent yesterday writing a song on the tailgate of her truck waiting for AAA to unlock it. Tenille keeps locking the keys inside and AAA said that was the last free lockout with her membership.

Kenny Chesney’s underwater reef park & Luke Combs fans kept his crew alive

Kenny Chesney’s joined with some conservation groups to plant thirteen 10,000-pound reef balls near Delray Beach in Florida. They’ll make a 32-acre underwater reef park. Kenny said, “people don’t realize how fragile and resilient the ocean’s ecosystems are.”

Luke Combs says his fans are the reason he was able to keep 21 crew guys on his payroll last year. He said they would not have survived the financial burden of the pandemic. In the early days Luke was his own tour manager and booking agent and said he actually enjoyed that.

As for 2020 and her very rough year, Carly Pearce wrote, “For every lesson learned, I’m grateful. For every uncomfortable moment, I’m better. A lot of things broke my heart but fixed my vision.”

Finally - one thing Brett Eldredge has learned during quarantine was playing piano. He took a few lessons then just kept practicing by himself at home, though he still doesn't read music.

Tyler Hubbard and Tim McGraw have a new song & Walmart leaks Morgan Wallen’s album

We now know what Tyler Hubbard and Tim McGraw have been up to. Their new song ‘Undivided’ is here January 13. It’ll be on the deluxe version of Tim’s album, ‘Here On Earth’ out sometime this spring. Tyler co-wrote the tune when he quarantined on his bus in Nov. after testing positive for COVID. He said Tim was the first guy he wanted to hear it.

In light of Walmart leaking Morgan Wallen’s album Monday, Morgan said he’d start leaking some of the songs himself. So yesterday he released three on TikTok. When the record’s in stores Friday, Target’s the only one that’ll have two extra tunes. Walmart’s since apologized and say only a "handful" of stores were involved and they’re removing all copies till Friday’s release date.

Jason Aldean’s coffee must have at least four packets of sugar free sweetener and he needs plenty of coffee for energy. Jason also reveals his food vice is eating a huge bowl of popcorn every night.

Brett Eldredge just made a huge donation to Nashville’s Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. Brett gave them $500,000 to treat children who have cancer and other serious illnesses.

Florida Georgia Line’s 2021 plans include new music as both a duo and solo acts. Brian and Tyler insist they’re not breaking up just creating freedom for themselves. Brian’s working on a solo album right now and Tyler’s been in the studio with Tim McGraw.

Jake Owen gets burned & Blake Shelton faces backlash

Jake Owen was roasting marshmallows with his daughter Friday when one caught on fire. He went to blow it out and got a marshmallow burn under his eye. 

Blake Shelton debuted a new song New Year’s Eve, ‘Minimum Wage.’ People called him insensitive and said his timing was ‘tone-deaf’ in light of the pandemic's effect on lost jobs and wages. Someone asked Blake if he’d like to pay their rent.

Dierks Bentley bought a new pair of light weigh running shoes a year ago. He said they started falling apart the first week he got them and they weren’t cheap. He told himself he’d wear them for the year and yesterday tweeted, “Mission complete.”

Luke Bryan, his wife and mom plus Jason Aldean and his wife rang in the New Year in the Dominican Republic. The guys golfed and the ladies spent time on the beach.

Finally – Brad Paisley donated a new guitar to Nashville musician Buck McCoy after his apartment was destroyed on the Christmas Day bombing. Brad also gave him unlimited food from his nonprofit grocery store.
