Drake White nearly collapses on stage & Garth brooks has free even Wednesday

Scotty McCreery had a show in Roanoke, Virginia Friday night. When his opener Drake White was on stage, he stopped mid-performance feeling lightheaded making him nearly collapse. He had to go to the hospital by ambulance and gave a thumbs-up to fans as he was taken away on a gurney. Drake’s tour manager said he’s been going through some medical procedures in Nashville and it's uncertain what the issue is right now.

Before his show Saturday night in Phoenix, it was so hot, Chris Young put an egg in a foil dish next to his bus tire and it cooked.

Carrie Underwood will return to host the CMA Awards with two iconic hosts but longtime partner Brad Paisley is not one of them. Dolly Parton and Reba will help celebrate the iconic women of country music throughout the night. The CMA Awards air on ABC Nov. 13.

Garth Brooks and Ashley McBryde will talk about songwriting during an event Wednesday night in Nashville at Belmont University. It’s free and open to the public, but tickets are required. To reserve them head to belmont.edu/countrymile.

Finally - Blake Shelton played with George Strait Friday night at Gillette Stadium. Blake performed in the middle of a downpour then left the stage, wrapped up in a towel and was given a golf cart ride back to his tour bus.
