music loses roy clark & Dierks Bentley resigs from the Nashville Airport's board of director

A few things from the CMA Awards happened during commercial breaks. Hockey fanatic Dierks Bentley chatted with Carrie’s husband Mike Fisher. Michael Ray let girlfriend Carly Pearce put her make-up in his pocket so she didn’t have to carry a purse and Thomas Rhett brought a power bar and shared it with his wife.

Roy Clark died yesterday at 85. Keith Urban said Roy was the first person he ever saw shred a guitar. Blake Shelton tweeted, "very sad to hear about fellow Okie Roy Clark; one of the first country artists I ever saw on TV." Chris Young wrote, “music has lost a treasure. I remember watching episodes of Hee Haw with my grandparents as a kid and thinking how talented he was.”

Dierks Bentley has resigned from the Nashville Airport's board of directors. This comes after he refused to release emails and text messages to the former airport CEO who filed a wrongful termination lawsuit. Dierks said his busy schedule also played a role in his decision to resign.
