Garth’s on Live with Kelly and Ryan today then Sunday night on CBS it’s Garth: Live At Notre Dame. More than 84,000 were there despite the wintery weather. Fans closest to the stage were constantly hit on the head by water falling off hanging speakers. Garth had to stop the concert a few times to make sure producers had what they wanted and after cameras stopped, Garth did an acoustic set. I hear it took over two hours to get out of the parking lots!

harth and trisha add to their family & Dierks Bentley’s turned into Clark Griswold

A dog named Millie hit the jackpot recently when it was adopted by Garth and Trisha. Trisha tweeted she was the only dog adopted Saturday from Maury County Animal Services and her siblings are still at the shelter. Trisha saw her online and they drove nearly an hour to pick her up. When they got married, Trisha had a dog and she told me it took Garth awhile to get used to having an inside dog because it was something he’d never had before.

Now that he’s a father of three kids; Dierks Bentley says he’s turned into Clark Griswold with decorating the tree and putting lights up around the house. He credits his children for awakening the little boy inside of him this time of year.

Carrie Underwood’s Christmas decorations include a fake tree and stockings for her two dogs.

Luke Combs is back in the studio in January, with sophomore album due later next year.

Finally - tonight on NBC, Brett Eldredge performs in New York City at the Christmas tree lighting in Rockefeller Center.

kane brown on racism & dierks bentley donates mac and cheese

Downtown Nashville’s just started a new holiday campaign to benefit the children’s hospital at Vanderbilt and businesses like Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row are taking part. If you buy Dierks mac & cheese thru Christmas Day, a portion of that money will go to the hospital.

Florida Georgia Line kick off their Vegas residency December 1. They’ll have 6 shows and hint there might be more in the future. The guys say they’re dipping their toes in the water to see what it feels like. I also know Brian’s parents had their honeymoon in Vegas and they even got to see Elvis in concert.

While he was at college, Tim McGraw sang with a group called The Electones. But only a few months later he got kicked out because he failed his music theory class; Tim couldn’t learn how to read music.

Finally - as for how he deals with racism, Kane Brown says all the hate actually makes him a stronger person. He adds, “I brush everything off my shoulders and weed out the negativity. If there’s any bad comments on social media I delete them.”
