Sam Hunt returns to the University of Alabama Birmingham and Eric Church’s family summer retreat has no cell service

A few days ago, Sam Hunt returned to the University of Alabama Birmingham, where he was a quarterback, to celebrate the re-launch of the school’s football program. Sam toured the new $20 million training facility and played a campus house party for over 25,000 screaming fans. The visit ended on the team’s new practice field where Sam chatted with the players.

Maren Morris performs the National Anthem tonight as the NFL season kicks-off with the Patriots and the Chiefs on NBC.

Eric Church’s family summer retreat is 5,000 feet above sea level, in North Carolina’s High Country. He picked that property because it has almost no cell reception and he can only get cell service if the weather’s just right and he stands a certain way on the mountain top. Eric likes to spend his time off playing golf, reading, fly-fishing and hanging out with his wife and 5 and 2-year-old sons Boone and Tennessee Hawk.

Thomas Rhett and his wife have two daughters now but he says they still want to have more.

Finally - Blake Shelton’s restaurant/entertainment venue, Ole Red where he lives in Tishomingo, OK has the soft open today.
