Blake Shelton anchors hurricane telethon and The Opry has a public service for Troy Gentry Thursday

Tonight’s the hour-long telethon to benefit Hurricane relief on all the major networks. Blake Shelton and Reese Witherspoon anchor from Nashville. Tim & Faith will be on so will Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, George Strait and Chris Stapleton. After the telethon is over, George will Facebook live the rest of his relief concert from San Antonio, Texas with Miranda, Chris and more.

The helicopter ride that took the life of Troy Gentry Friday was a “spur of the moment” trip, a federal investigator says. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot radioed he was having trouble controlling the engines RPM. The Opry will host a public memorial service for Troy on Thursday morning.

Carrie Underwood will debut a new football-themed song, ‘The Champion,’ right before the Super Bowl in February. The producer of Sunday Night Football thinks it’ll become a sports anthem and one of those songs you see during highlights for the next 25 years.

Kenny Chesney’s in the studio this week recording music to help the Virgin Islands. He also has special charity merchandise for sale too at kennychesney.com/store.

Finally - Dustin Lynch has a Hurricane Harvey benefit concert tonight in Dallas.
