everything's new forThomas Rhett's daughter and Dierks Bentley says no to marathons
Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren are taking it slow with their new daughter from Uganda as just about everything’s new to her. She’d never seen dogs before and they have two big ones. She didn’t like being strapped into a car seat and she’s obsessed with her toy piano. They named her Willa because it means ‘resolutely brave and unshakable.’ Lauren said, “she’s a survivor that was orphaned as an infant and has come so far.”
Dierks Bentley’s wife Cassidy just ran the Boston Marathon but we’ll never see him do that. Dierks once ran 8 miles and says he was hurting and sore for three weeks.
Kelsea Ballerini’s upcoming album includes a duet with fiancé Morgan Evans and now we hear he just got a record deal with Warner and will play the Opry and the Bluebird Café tomorrow.
College was when Cole Swindell started playing in bars, the same time Dierks Bentley’s first album was out. It’s surreal form him that he’s now opening for Dierks and says he’s as amazing off stage as on. Dierks treats everyone including his crew like family.
Finally – happy 65th birthday to George Strait who will be honored today in Austin as Texas State Musician of 2017.
