Next time you’re in Nashville and want to run into Sam Hunt, he often plays basketball at the YMCA. Sam’s also made music history as he’s now the first solo male to ever have four #1 singles on the Billboard Country Airplay Chart from a debut album. Sam just wrapped Kenny Chesney’s tour so he now has time to work on his next record.
Preston and Chris from LOCASH say the best thing about being a duo is you have somebody to help you get through the hard times. Preston adds, "you don't always wake up on the right side of the bed and if you don’t, you've got somebody there to cheer you on."
Between Justin Moore’s 3-daughters he’s been to 25 softball games and a basketball camp this summer. His 6-year-old’s asked him to coach softball next year and he said he’ll probably do it.
Before he started his music career, Chris Stapleton worked at Papa John’s Pizza while he studied engineering at Vanderbilt University. He dropped out of college after a year. If he’d have followed family tradition tho, Chris would have been a Kentucky coal miner.

The NFL’s released Carrie Underwood’s new Sunday Night Football open a bit early. It’s set to she and Miranda Lambert’s tune, ‘Somethin’ Bad.’ I also hear Miranda will get the 1st ever Merle Haggard Spirit Award at tonight’s ACM Honors at the Ryman. The 2-hour special airs Sept. 9 on CBS.
Luke Bryan’s been added to play Charlie Daniels’ 80th Birthday Jam November 30 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. Tickets are $25 and they’re on sale now through Ticketmaster.
Keith Urban ended his summer tour the other night by treating tour mates Maren Morris, Brett Eldredge and the entire crew to a huge blow-up double waterslide backstage.
Dan + Shay's hit, ‘From the Ground Up’ has become a very popular wedding song and it was inspired by Dan’s grandparents who were married over 65 years. He says their Facebook message box is 90% full of people asking if they’d sing it at their wedding.
Finally - tonight Granger Smith’s alter ego, Earl Dibbles, Jr. returns to predict the future for the CBS Sports Network. His Dip ‘Em & Pick ‘Em weekly segment is on Inside College Football.

Tim McGraw was the surprise guest at a wedding Saturday night in Philadelphia. He’d been invited by the bride’s dad to sing, ‘My Little Girl’ during the father-daughter dance. After that he stayed and sang a few of his hits.
Florida Georgia Line’s video for ‘May We All’ just debuted on their YouTube channel.
The 3-year court battle over Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood’s hit, ‘Remind Me’ and a similar song is over. A U.S. District judge ruled the dissimilarities in structure, melody and harmony were greater than the similarities.
Justin Moore recently played in Chicago and saw a guy throw something at a girl in the audience then with some strong words, Justin said if he ever threw anything at a woman again at one of his shows, he’d do something about it.
Finally – since Brett Eldredge’s puppy broke his toe, Friday he posted a photo of them wearing plastic cones from the vet with the caption, “I didn't want Edgar to feel left out so I joined him and put on the cone of shame!”
