The CCMA’s were last night and Brett Kissel won fan favorite and top male artist. High Valley was group of the year and Dean Brody took home Songwriter of the Year for ‘Bring Down the House’ and it also got the Top Selling Canadian Single award. Gord Bamford got Album of the year for Tin Roof and Jess Moskaluke was female vocalist.

Chris Stapleton’s head and shoulders were immortalized in bacon Saturday at LouFest in St. Louis as Chris performed there that night. I hear his eyeballs were made of gumballs and the bacon used was cooked and uncooked. It took nearly 2,000 pieces to make Chris’s likeness.

This weekend, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani donated $600,000 to the Oklahoma University Medical Center’s Jimmy Everest Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders in Children. Blake’s cousin’s daughter was treated there and no child is ever turned away.

Kelsea Ballerini is 23 today and she’s also kicking off her first solo tour in just about a week. She’s been doing a lot of writing for her next album and is in the studio as much as possible. Kelsea says hopefully it’ll be out early next year.

Justin Moore hates being in front of the camera so much if it were up to him he wouldn’t be in another one of his music videos ever again.

Finally - tonight, Eric Church is on The Tonight Show & Jana Kramer’s on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’
